최서해의 단편소설이다. 봄날같이 따스하고 털자리같이 푸근한 기분을 주던 이른 겨울 어떤 날 오후이었다. 일주일 전에 우리 집에서 떠나간 어멈의 엽서를 받았다. 이날 오후에 사에서 나오니 문간에 배달부가 금방 뿌리고 간 듯한 편지 석 장이 놓였는데 두 장은 봉서이었고 한 장은 엽서이었다. 봉서 중 한 장은 동경 있는 어떤 친구의 글씨였고 한 장은 내 손을 거쳐서 어떤 친구에게 전하라는 가서(家書)이었다. 나머지 엽서 한 장은 내 눈에 대단히 서투른 글씨였다. 수인란에 ‘경성 화동 백 번지 박춘식씨(京城花洞百番地朴春植氏)’이라고 내 이름과 주소 쓴 것을 보아서는 내게 온 것이 분명한데 끝이 무딘 모필에 잘 갈지도 않은 수묵을 찍어서 겨우 성자(成字)한 글씨는 ..
